Remedy Link (Discontinued)

Our Trek Remedy link increases bottom out resistance by making the leverage curve more progressive. The progression is increased to 25% from 17%. As a result, bottom out resistance is increased significantly, without having to run less sag than desirable. This keeps the bike tracking well over rough terrain, so small bump sensitivity doesn’t have to be compromised on to gain that bottom out resistance.

To accompany the changes to the kinematics, the Remedy link also subtly tweaks the geometry to make it more aggressive. The head tube angle is slackened by 0.5 degrees and the bottom bracket height is lowered 5mm. This gives the Remedy a slightly more gravity-oriented layout but doesn’t go as far as converting it to a Slash. Both the high and low settings are still usable with this link as well.

We also swapped the bearings that are used for the shock pivots for the next size up, which nearly doubles the load capacity of the bearings. This increases their longevity significantly. The stock Remedy link uses 6800 bearings, which have a static capacity low enough that they are easily overloaded at as little as 50% compression. Our link uses 6900 bearings in their place.
